The Washington based campus of the Northwest Service Academy, known as the Mt. Adams Center, is located in Washington state and is surrounded by the |
Cascade Mountains. Now in its 15th year, the Mt. Adams Center serves as a training and operational hub for their highly regarded AmeriCorps Programs.
The Mt. Adams Center places over 70 AmeriCorps members with government agencies or non-profit organizations throughout the Pacific Northwest. AmeriCorps volunteers receive an AmeriCorps education award in addition to a modest living stipend and health insurance.
AmeriCorps Applicants: If you are 21 years of age and are ready to explore a career in natural resources, live-work-play in pristine backcountry locations, or acquire new outdoor adventure and job skills, select your position and apply today. AmeriCorps Programs
| Environmental Internship Program
Members are placed individually with their sponsoring organization and serve an eleven month term of service. Benefits such as a living stipend and health insurance are included. Placements are throughout the Pacific Northwest. Positions run January through November. Sponsor an AmeriCorps Intern

| Field Team Leadership Program
Each year 12 applicants are selected to join the MAC Field Team Leadership Program. If you seek travel opportunities in the Pacific Northwest and California, enjoy outdoor living and recreation, and have leadership capabilities we invite you to apply. Your nine month term of service includes three months of training. Then, in late May, you meet your team members to begin environmental service projects. The program runs February through November.

| Field Team Program
Members are based at the Mt. Adams Residential Center and serve with their sponsoring agency June Through October. Field teams specialize in conservation, trail building, wildfire protection, and habitat restoration.
