Keep your pool water balanced

In order to have a clean and clear water in your swimming pool, it is recommended to follow some steps. First of all, it is quite important to understand that the pH level in a swimming pool should be between 7.2 and 7.4. The optimum level is 7.6. This measures the chlorine level and turns it into hypochlorous acid in the water. If you want to increase the pH, you can use soda ash. On the other hand, if you want to decrease the pH level in your swimming pool, the muriatic acid or sodium bisulfate can help you do that. In what regards the total alkalinity of the water, this should be from 80 to 120. To increase it use sodium bicarbonate and in order to decrease it use muriatic acid. The chlorine level should be from 1 ppm to 3 ppm. It shouldn’t be too much chlorine in your pool. So use a plastic chlorinated and attach it to the filter system to maintain an optimal chlorine level.

After all this process it is recommended to wait at least one week before swimming in the pool. All those chemicals and additives can affect your health.
In order to maintain your pool clean and clear for the rest of the season, you need to keep the filtration system clean and vacuum the pool at least once a year. Moreover, it is important to check the level of the chemicals every day and add some additives if needed. According to several specialists, you should test the water once a month and see what is the pH level and check the hardness of the water.
Now that you know all these information, you will understand that keeping a swimming pool in great conditions can be quite difficult as there are many things to do. From using a proper cover, to find a quality pool cleaner and keep the filtration system clean to maintain the right pH and chlorine level, everything it is hard and complicated to do.
